THE EURO MILLIONS LOTTERY IS QUITE BIG THIS WEEKEND
I’d seriously consider reading this article – ESPECIALLY seeing as winning tickets for the local SA lottery are being declared invalid (here ). And even so, it’s not like the local SA lottery jackpots are big enough for YOU!
We usually only chat about the Euro Millions lottery when it hits a billion Rand. But it’s been a while since it went that big and, with the latest spate of rollovers, one should make mention of the fact that this Friday’s jackpot is sitting at €55 million.
Yes, that’s a EURO sign. Which makes that Fifty Five Million Euros. It’s about R650 million.
Six Hundred and Fifty Million Rand!
In Dollars that is $77 million, which means you can buy THIS!:

It’s SO your vibe!
Have a GOOD look at that pic..
Note the floating tennis court..
Behold the $75 million, 5 acre Caribbean island of Emerald Cay!
The 30,000-square-foot house on Emerald Cay is off Providenciales, the most populated island in the chain, and has nine bedrooms, a gym, a guest house and a “floating” tennis court
There is also a man-made sandy beach and several docks to accommodate Mr Blixseth’s collection of private yachts.
The property – which boasts stunning views of Chalk Sound National Park – is connected to the mainland by a retractable bridge which swivels round to keep unwanted visitors at bay.

Quite serious
I like that house. I just bought five tickets!
Have you?
Do you realise how awesome you would be if you owned that house?
Finally, people will love you for who you are!

Seth, read the small print bru’! They take 10% of your winnings off the top as their handling fee/comission-”wuteva”!! Still 90% of R650 million should buy you a small Island off the East Coast of Africa. There are specials going off Somalia at the moment……
Seriously, R65 million for what? Sending some gormless ‘dole bludger’ down to stand in a queue; and if they pay electronically that makes it more obscene. Any idea how much Tax you have to pay in the UK on Lotto winnings? Make no mistake tho’, I still enter. ‘You gotta be init to winit’.

Ah I can just see the sprayed-orange housewives in their Gucci tennis kits hitting ball after ball “accidentally” into the turquoise water. As their Brazilian, speedo-clad tennis instructor grins patiently from beneath his manly moustache.

Does anyone know that playing international loteries is illegal here in SA??? Trust me – I work in the gambling industry and learnt the hard way when trying to claim my betfair winnings!!!!

From the online lotto guys:
As we service over 200 countries worldwide it is almost impossible or practical for us to understand every individual country’s legal status at any given time. However, looking through our winners records, our most recent notable South African (East London) winner matched 5 balls plus the bonus ball on the UK Lottery and won £558,077. His winnings were deposited with the disclosure to the South African Reserve bank. PlayUKinternet provided full legal and financial consultation services (a service that is subsidized by our commission structure on larger wins).
The service we provide is to line up on your behalf and purchase the ticket from a retail outlet, meaning that you technically never actually take part in the lottery. We do so on your behalf. Moreover, we also claim winnings in the state that the ticket is purchased.
This is perfectly legal, owing to the fact that the ticket is purchased by our staff members that are legally entitled to do so. In the event of a win, we conclude the claiming process too in order to obtain the winning amounts on your behalf.
It is perfectly legal for any foreigner to purchase, own and, in the event of a win, claim any lottery ticket for any of the lotteries for which we offer our services.
Ours is a proxy service that allows you to enjoy the excitement and anticipation of the world’s biggest lotteries, and is sometimes referred to as a syndicated purchase.
There is definitely an element of trust in our business and there certainly are other operators out there that are trying to make a quick profit and leave, but PlayUKinternet.com has been providing these services through its sister brands for over a decade now and we have had phenomenal success worldwide.
We make payments to tens of thousands of customers weekly.
Part of our service for larger winners is to provide local professional advice where possible and advice from this particular winner was accepted. Our records also show the player was paid out in full and the player advised the local South African tax authorities of their win and a 10% windfall tax was applied. We also note from the player the local Federal Reserve Bank gave their approval on the incoming offshore funds.
We appreciate that whilst there is a lot of speculation in the press regarding the legal status of gaming related sites around the world we can only rely on our own individual case history which has proven that winners do get paid and local speculation in the press could be just that, speculation.
