It’s interesting to note that my favourite pair of shoes, these Rudolf Dassler boots, also happen to be the least worn out of my considerable shoe collection.
How is it possible that you never wear your favourite shoes?
I’ve never quite worked out why that is. Why would I hardly ever wear my favourite shoes? But then I started looking at this new Levi’s 507 “Bring Back” campaign, and the fact that they’re finally bringing back the Levi’s 507 cut which, bizarrely, disappeared a few years ago.
Then I realised… that is EXACTLY why I don’t wear those skones anymore! I don’t have the 507′s anymore!
But guess what, they’re coming back, baby!
The Levi’s 507 cut that we’ve been wanting back just as bad as Polaroid cameras, Knight Rider, The A-Team and Alex Jay is FINALLY re-entering the market.
And before you start moaning about how “out” the bootleg is, let me remind you of the glory of the Levi’s 507: they don’t taper, they aren’t skinny and they don’t flare as much as a bootleg – they are as straight as they come.

I tried to buy a pair of 507s at the waterfront Levi’s shop on Friday – sold out they claimed with no scheduled restock. I had to buy Rocker Slimfit from Guess. Not silly skinny but not perfect. And I’m assured they will stretch half an inch. Thank you for taking up the cudgels!

nothing fits like a pair of 507s. I got a pair that full of holes sitting at the back of my cupboard and they still the best fit.

@Kloofster Nooo! Seriously, no, it’s really not out of stock at the Waterfront Levi’s® Store.. they may have been unpacking it on Monday, but we promise it really, really is there – and at Markham and at Edgars!
