IT IS NOW SAFE TO REMOVE GENE’S FLASH STICK

17.05.2010

Gene Simmons

Besides being at the age where his main desire should be trying to play online bingo for free, KISS bassist and all round grand daddy of rock, Gene Simmons, was recently accused of dry-humping an ESPN make-up artist, as some of you may have heard.

After said make-up artist demanded $185 000 from Gene for the pleasure of the experience, Gene countersued, claiming that the alleged dry docking was plain impossible, owing to the fact that Mr Tongue was in full costume at the time.

“Go on…”, I hear you say.

Apparently, and this is what Gene says, his KISS costume is pretty much rape-and-grope-proof, owing to a thick codpiece (NOT a piece of fish) in his pants that covers his, you know, axe.

Hmmm. But just because it’s impossible, doesn’t mean Gene isn’t keen to “network” with the odd fan.

Evidently not satisfied with the limited results of “manual docking”, Gene and his crew have gone the hi-tech route, ensuring they’ll be able to “connect” via “flash drive” with thousands of fans at a time.

In partnership with Simfy Live, KISS are releasing live recordings of the Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour. Pretty standard stuff, except for the fact that they’re being released on USB sticks. These USB sticks:

And get this, fans can buy the live recording of the gig they were at, AT THE SHOW THEY WERE AT. That is pretty “special”.

Perhaps these quotation marks are getting a little “uneccessary”.

This is of course achieved by some nifty live sound mixing and mastering by the Simfy Live crew, who complete the job on site. Fans who have either pre-ordered or purchased the USB sticks at the gigs also get a code on the USB that lets them download the show encores the day after.

Dock away, Gene. I reckon that’s pretty schwing.

Silverstreak, out.
