SETH IN THE LATEST GQ MAGAZINE – ‘ELEGANTLY WASTED’
Not the worst thing to be called – ‘Maverick,’ is it? I’m absolutely fine with it, truth be told. ‘Elegantly Wasted?’ – hey, I can work with that too. We’re big INXS fans here at 2oceansvibe anyway.

You know, it’s funny, that shoot took about 20 minutes. Reason being, my crew of tight mates have been practicing for shit like that our whole lives. Ever since we learnt what cool meant, and the fact that GQ and cool go hand-in-hand, we’ve perfected the ‘GQ look.’ As far back as I can remember, if ever someone is taking a group photograph, we would first agree on if we were smiling in this next shot, or were we going ‘GQ?’ Invariably it was GQ.
I’ve also had this on my coffee table for several years..

The GQ book of cool – Seth’s bible..
I popped into Laughtons en route to the shoot, bought a sledgehammer (no spice, I own that sledgehammer, it’s mine), pulled a ‘GQ’ face, and went back to my ‘terminal hangover’..
And yes, I did smash those monitors myself and yes, it did feel awesome doing it.
Highly recommended.
Interesting to note, they smash in the same way as a lightbulb does. Makes a similar noise.
Ja…ja… interesting.
Oh you knew that already?
Well good for you.
Jerk.
Look out for the latest GQ Magazine which is on shelves now.
It looks like this:

October issue of GQ
On shelves NOW!
Sean seems to be throwing a bit of a Rotherham vibe there.
You notice that?
Interesting.. wish he could just be himself.
[big thanks to justin, arthur and dylan - good times]

This QC interview is going to make it hard to read your blog in future, Seth. The reason? I can’t take you seriously. Your proud and somewhat sickly materialism in the form of your ’60 pairs” of sunnies and the not-so-subtle namedropping: “Johnny Vaughan, the morning show DJ from London’s biggest radio station”. To me, thats not what ‘living the holiday’ is all about.

Nats if you knew anything about journalism, you will be aware that quotes are pulled out of verbal interviews and put together by the writer. I would tend to give Seth the benefit of the doubt and you will find that the writer probably asked him how many pairs he has and he would have said 60. This would then have been turned into a first person quote. Knowing the smartness of the man we’re dealing with I don’t think Seth would have given those answers as you see them!
I think he has done damn well and I am sure everyone in his world are very proud of him. I’ve followed him for 5 years and I’m proud. And I don’t even know him! One thing I do know ifrom reading his site is that Johnny Vaughan is his friend and is even featured on the 2oceansvibe Characters list. He probably mentioned it to “big up” his friend. And good for him for doing it!
There seems to be a lot of jealousy out there.

Nats, the internet is a perfect democracy. You vote with your page visits. Seth leverages these page impressions to get freebies from all the brands he “endorses”. Yes, it’s shallow; yes, it can’t last forever; but it is quite clever.
I agree that the GQ article is nauseating. However, I’m way out of the demographic (16 to 25 year-olds, probably). I only visit the site for that car-wreck type experience. It’s the same reason why you pick up a copy of your girlfriend’s Heat magazine. Pointless, guilty pleasure, and, if you can get over the blatant self-promotion and brand whoreism, then you’ll be fine.

Nats, you have clearly never had the pleasure of meeting Seth. I have known him for 14 years and can confidently say that you will NEVER even come CLOSE to being as awesome as him. Poor you. Don’t cry, your cheap supermarket mascara will run.
Love you Seth. You just get cuter and cuter x
ps “goodluck”- you are SO right. In fact I told him I expected him to have world domination under his belt just yesterday.
