NASA has recently released a couple of photos taken inside of the International Space Station with the newly-fitted Cupola module, which is a big ol’ window looking down on earth. So the ISS is essentially a fancy glass bottomed-boat in space. With attractive astronaut ladies lying alongside it.
Here we see astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson hovering a chilled 350km above the Earth – just sort of hanging out, no big deal. Orbiting the Earth every 90 minutes or so.
Could I just add that, on top of looking like the cover of a mediocre science fiction novel from the 70’s, this Cupola guy looks exactly like the cockpits for the TIE Fighters from Star Wars? Can I say that without sounding like I spend all my time on the internet? I’m not sure I can.
