Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, and holder of the title of “worst teeth for a rich person” also happens to own the world’s second largest yacht – The Octopus. One of the logistical tentacles of the Octopus is a helicopter used to ferry crew and guests to and from the vessel.
The helicopter rose to a low altitude from the deck of the Octopus, on its way to pick Alan up from a nearby airport and bring him to the yacht, before suddenly ditching in the water. Given the lack of height on the fall, and that the helicopter was equipped with water floats, the pilots of the helicopter suffered only minor injuries.
Paul Allen, meanwhile, was probably towed to his yacht on a pontoon made from $100 bills.
See the helicopter taking a dip, below.
Interesting to note that Paul was boarding his yacht for a trip to Antarctica, because when you’re rolling with 414 feet of yacht, you can take on the odd ice berg.
