You wouldn’t fork out much, would you? We’d be surprised if you were to cough up five bucks, quite honestly. Not so in England, that ever-discerning country where a corny pop tune by just about any previously unknown boy band has a strong chance of being number 1 on the Christmas charts.
In England, you’re likely to find at least a few people who will pay rather a lot for royal memorabilia, especially a sweet which resembles princess-to-be Kate Middleton.
As it happens, a single jellybean featuring a pattern which supposedly looks just like Kate Middleton’s face, will be auctioned on eBay during the lead up to the royal wedding. Bidding will start at £500 – yes, that’s about R5,500.
Wesley Hosie, 25, and his girlfriend Jessica White, 24, found the unique looking confectionary delight and were blown away by the blotchy similiarity it bore to Miss Middleton.
We know Kate is terribly attractive, but who knew her looks were so distinctive? Or so lucrative?
“Given that the royal wedding is only a few weeks away, we hope to make a few pounds out of it by selling it on the Internet to a collector,” Hosie told the UK Telegraph.
I’m sure you will.
