Jacob Zuma Needs A Holiday Too

Public holiday weeks, like last week, are problematic. It’s a commonly accepted truth that human beings experience a normal five day working week (or four-and-a-half-day working week, if you’re sensible) to be far more excrutiating after a week which incorporates a public holiday. And Jacob Zuma is no exception. He needs a break, and he needs it now.
The SA President said on his Twitter feed this morning, “I am taking a few days off to rest and enjoy watching the sun rise and set without rushing anywhere, till Saturday.”
JZ likes his sundowners too.
Jacob can declare a public holiday ANY time, and he still needs to take a mini break this week. Which makes it totally ok for you to follow in his footsteps and plan a short week getaway after the public holiday week in August. It would be silly not to.
