ANC WikiPedia Page Suffers Sustained Hacks
In the wake of Parliament’s majority vote to send the controversial Protection of Information Bill to the National Council of Provinces for consideration, the ANC’s Wikipedia has suffered numerous mischievious revisions, or hacks. The information under the heading “Controversy over corrupt members” appears to have been censored, or redacted, in a style similar to a government-censored document.
Here’s a screenshot.
The revisions have since been undone, and subsequently re-instated a number of times.
Here’s a link to the censored revision.
Here’s a link to the current version.
Go satire!
[Thanks, Craig!]

You realise that you can’t ‘hack’ Wikipedia, right? It’s open to anyone to edit.

Hi Brett. I'm sure you're aware that we used the word "hack" in the colloquial sense. It's not without precedent.

I’m not comfortable calling it hacking though. We don’t use “breaking and entering” as a colloquial term for going into places we are already allowed. Yes, the revision is facetious and non-factual, taking advantage of open-source. But it still isn’t hacking. Especially compared to the actual hacking of the ANCYL website.
