A 2oceansviber with the Twitter handle, @Scabenga, began live tweeting these shots of a fire that began around 13h00 today in Hout Bay.
@Scabenga snapped the shots from his elevated position on Empire Road, just below Victoria Road.
The unpredictable wind conditions are making the path of the fire difficult to predict, and as can be seen in the photos, a number of buildings are at risk.
Residents are asked to please avoid Princess Street & Empire Road in Hout Bay as traffic is hampering fire engines. The fire, seen below, is reportedly spreading toward a nearby school. The Hout Bay stables were evacuated of staff and animals minutes ago.

No it stopped just before. right across the river . That side seems to be clear, it the Kronendal side that is an issue at the moment

Looks like the Fire next to Kronendal retirement village is under control, however not sure how the rest of the section is looking
