Is Political Science Guru, Steven Friedman, Labelling AB De Villiers A Racist?
Can he sing the national anthem? All of it?
Prof. Steven Friedman is a pretty big name in local political science circles, he’s a Research Associate at the Institute for Democracy in South Africa, and is a regular commentator on political affairs in our local press. Long story short, he’s a man who’s opinions are quite widely respected, and not, in our experience, someone who just says something without due consideration, so what follows is a little jaw-dropping.
We were quite fascinated by this little diatribe that appeared on his Facebook page yesterday, where he calls the integrity of Proteas captain, AB De Villiers, into question:

ag, this is just wild speculation and it is just silly coming from someone like steven friedman. The proteas are the most integrated team we have and are a model to others. Let’s not forget that hash and ashwell have also been captain at times.

I think Steven Friedman needs to take that massive chip on his shoulder off, f’knows how it got there in the first place, and get laid, preferably by a black man living in poverty, that has never had any opportunities in life, as not to offend anyone or be prejudice towards any group or race in South Africa. What a C U Next Tuesday. It beggars belief that such drivel comes out of the mouth of a professor.

What a load of hogswill, I vomitted a little in my mouth while reading this. I don’t care how long and how much he studied, he is still a muppet for causing kak for no reason, pure and utter unnecessary polarisation, what a dick. Has he even researched the history of the team properly. Does he know Faf and AB have been mates since they were at school together at Affies, that Morkel and him were housemates which is why AB may be partial to them. Steven probably never left a classroom surely he know that team mates have nicknames for each other where sometimes they use that name and sometimes the real one. Google “AB and Hashim Amla” There some genuine embraces there doesn’t matter how naive you may think I am.

Funny part is that Tsotsobe is currently ranked 2nd in ODI bowler rankings (Morkel 4th) while Amla is number 1 (AB is 2nd) in ODI batting rankings – http://www.relianceiccrankings.com/
I don’t recall either Smith or AB raving about Tsotsobe in ODI but I think Amla has had fair mentions though. Tsotsobe has achieved this despite the ongoing injuries in his career.
If I were AB I would take heed and start pumping Tsotsobe up to be number 1 ODI bowler as well as Morkel to also challenge for number 1, 2 0r 3. Can’t have these perceptions flying around as they will likely mess with Tsotsobe’s head.

A few minutes on google quickly highlights who Friedman real is.
Twice divorced ,pro government (also funded by government by the way ) and anti jewish.
If he can ad labels to people then we should ask ? was he a womean beater perhaps ? or a drunkerd ? or did he cheat and if he did then how can we respect him to comment to us in the media ? Is his qualifications real and did he get them honestly.
Also interesting that those who know Friedman a bit better dont really respect him much.
It is time that people like him gets eradicated from our media and he should retire to a small Karoo town were peopl can gossip about him .
