For those of you who did, please enjoy possibly the greatest news so far this year:

It’s been a while since fans last heard about “Dumb and Dumber 2″ project, and some people believe that the gig is already dead. Director Peter Farrelly, however, brought the good news that the sequel is still in the works and is set to kick off the production as soon as fall this year.

While attending the press junket for “The Three Stooges”, Peter told Coming Soon, “We’re getting set to shoot ‘Dumb and Dumber 2′ in September.” The filmmaker also announced, “It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back.”
