Mitt Romney has only just been confirmed as the presidential candidate for the Republican Party in the US, which means pretty soon he’s going to have to be answering some big question and making some tough political decisions. The most important of these has just arisen – to SNL, or not to SNL?
Romney is no stranger to comedic TV appearances, having already made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as doing the Top Ten with Letterman. SNL producer Lorne Michaels has formally invited him to host, and should he accept, he will be the first presidential candidate since 1996 to do so.
To be honest this is probably going to do the man a lot more harm than good. Anyone remember Sarah Palin‘s history with SNL? Have a look at him on Letterman. A little awkward, don’t you think?
