Suppose this is a true rendition then I feel sorry for you, Dyer, because it is a tough situation to be in.

If a guy had to shout something like that to any other guy’s girlfriend, said guy would find it very hard not to retaliate. However, I feel that the situation could have been avoided by literally just making them out as drunk okes and walking away from it instead of pouring beer over them. If you know trouble already, you should know that this would spark more anger from a drunk idiot. Rather take out your frustrations later that night on your boxing bag or during sparring and by doing so avoiding the public humiliation of this incident and former, private, matters. Just my 2 cents!

My wife and I do boxing training once a week – we stand out like sore thumbs given the rest of the characters there – but our trainer is a hell of a nice guy, and he regards Lee as a genuine bloke.

What he did was wrong on many levels, but I tend to believe my trainer. Great to get his side of the story, as the video did cast him in a shocking light.

Ya. Well, I wasn’t there, and who knows what the preamble to this was. The video evidence makes the oke look like a total mullet though. Put the dude in a weird position – someone trying to mess with his wife, and wanting to clap him. First up, you seem to condone the barbaric behaviour of Lee Dyer in a public “family orientated” area (not the whole Top Gear show was a bar facility). Second, put this image into your head. I think the moment the “incident” took place, instead of retaliating, the three characters’ should have been reported to security. Seems like the sane thing to do, not? @others talking about WHITE TRASH, forget that, there were indian guys (2 of them) that got trashed at the bar and got into a fight. Forgone conclusion, thy were smashed (literally) to the floor with bottles. Check out the videos doing the rounds on the net! Here is another example of pure stupidity. The whole show was a failure in my opinion. The catering was unorganized, the program was not followed, the officials on site were not competent, the main show was too short. All in all, failure!
