Homophobes Call For Boycott On Oreos

America’s gay hating public have called for a boycott after cookie company Oreo posted a picture in support of Gay Pride on it’s website. I’d have thought it would have been the racists, seeing as an Oreo is all about vanilla sandwiched between two delicious pieces of chocolate wafer. Here’s what all the fuss was about.

On Monday, Oreo posted this on their social media pages, in support of the start of Gay Pride week:

I don’t know about you, but that looks friggin’ delicious.

Cookie lovers everywhere exploded. And not with creamy goodness. Here’s just a small sample of the hate circling on Facebook.

Seriously though, boycotting a cookie? A cookie. So yes, stay away from the evil cookie of Satan, a mere nibble is likely to start a desperate spiral into a dark world of sin and sexual depravity.

Weird ass people. My first reaction was – “Ooooooooo! Where can I GET those.”

Seriously. Their worlds must be so minute for a cookie to cause this much furor; their definition for humanity so narrow that it includes only those most like them. It’s actually terribly sad, and we should all feel very sorry for them.

Not that I do.

A comment on Talk702 (no offense, 2OV!) last night sums it up:
“There is no inherent possibility for harm to yourself from an act that two strangers you’ve never met commit behind the closed doors of their home; and yet somehow this issue [homosexuality] elicits strong, violent reactions from the public”
