A certain former US president was in Ireland recently when he spotted a rather nice looking couple getting married nearby. The sweet scent of young love must have lured him closer, because before you know it, he was at the wedding. Which former president was it? That should be obvious.

The couple were astonished when Bill Clinton strolled over and introduced himself, had a chat and then offered to stand in for a special wedding photo. Ms Seamans, the bride, admitted that having a US president in her wedding photos was extra special given that she is American.

Bill was being hosted in Ireland by an Irish American philanthropy group. Rumours of a cameo sax appearance at the reception remain unconfirmed.

The former president’s wife was nowhere to be seen – we have it on good authority she was at a brunch.
