This past weekend, Microsoft unveiled its first TV commercial for its new operating system, Windows 8. The fast-paced, upbeat ad offers a glimpse of Microsoft’s “reimagined” campaign.
Scheduled to be released on 26 October, Microsoft has high hopes for its new flagship operating system which is optimised for versatility and touchscreen use.
The backtrack played during the ad is the Eagles of Death Metal’s “Only Want You”.
Of course, the question everybody is asking is whether it’ll be enough – enough to intrigue and lure new customers, and possibly even convert some Mac-enthusiasts. What do you think? Would you be willing to give the new Windows a try, or consider migrating from your trusty Apple device?
