British moral fabric eroded further on Monday when a video was uploaded to YouTube showing a man teaching his three-year-old son how to sing vile chants about Robin Van Persie.

In the video, the father films his son singing a chant that refers to the Dutch striker’s arrest in 2005 after a false allegation of rape was made against him.

The shocking clip, which some call tantamount to child abuse, comes after Van Persie joined fierce rival team Manchester United in a £24 million deal in August, and also follows in the wake of a number of other serious football-related incidents of skulduggery that included a brawl at an England Serbia match involving English players and coach, the investigation of a referee accused of using “inappropriate language”, and a man caught on camera making monkey gestures at a black player.

In the video, the boy, named as Kye, says the word “cunt” a lot, and also sings the chant about the rape allegation, “She said no Robin, she said no”.
