Dennis Rodman became America’s middle man with his latest vacation to North Korea. No American has ever been able to meet the revered North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, since he took over from his father in 2011. The trip was part of a “basketball diplomacy” segment of an HBO special, produced by media company, Vice.
The special with Rodman was surreal. The former Bulls star relayed messages to President Obama urging him that Kim Jun-un wants Obama to “call him.”
In the two days Rodman was in North Korea, Rodman concluded that Kim was an “honest” and “great leader.” Kim Jong Un, according to Rodman “does not want to do war.” Rodman gushed about the leader even further saying that Kim is a “humble” and “strong man.”
Bromance. It’s a beautiful thing.
