Secret.li is a new web and mobile photo encryption app that renders an encrypted photograph unrecognisable when uploaded to Facebook. However, users can make the photo viewable to individuals they choose. Users can also set an expiry date on the image, causing it to disappear after an allotted time.
Basically, users take a photo, and apply the encryption filter, and rest easy in the knowledge that if they ever uploaded their photograph to Facebook, photo scalpers and ad bots wouldn’t be able to commandeer the image for their use.
The app can be downloaded on iPhone 3GS and later, get it for free from iTunes.
