Remember ‘Lost In Translation?’ Of course you do. It’s the iconic Tokyo love story between a young Scarlett Johansson and much older Bill Murray. Yesterday marked a decade since the film’s release, and the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind the hit, Sofia Coppola re-visited the romantic-comedy by doing an interview with the Daily Beast.
Coppola talks about the time she spent in Tokyo, Bill’s amazing sense of humour, and how she chose then 17-year-old Scarlett Johansson to play the role of Charlotte.
When talking about Bill Murray’s “kid-like nature,” Coppola says:
I remember Bill would throw the hotel housekeeper lady over his shoulder and walk around with her. He was so funny and so fun.
Reporter, Marlow Stern asked the question people have been dying to know the answer to for an entire decade, “Is the statute of limitations up on what Bill whispers to Scarlett at the end?”
