Smartphone cameras have come a long, long way since those crappy little one-megapixel cameras on the back of old Motorola clam-shells. And thank God for that.
But if we’re honest, there are limitations to a any smartphone camera. But that’s where gadgets like this one fit in.
Olloclip, the company that started as a kickstarter only a year and a half ago, is now a million-dollar business. It sells pocket-sized, 4-in-1 iPhone lenses that let you add a fish eye, wide angle or macro lens attachment to your phone’s existing camera.
And now Olloclip has just released a new set of detachable lenses – all dedicated to the act of zooming. The R700 Macro 3-in-1 offers three different macro magnifications: 21x on one side, 14x on the other, and 7x when you unscrew the 14x.
Just as with all the others, this Olloclip slides onto the corner of your iPhone 5 or 5S, and sits snugly over the phone’s built-in camera.
