In case you haven’t heard, Cape Town is the World Design Capital for 2014, and in that spirit has been named one of the best places to visit by major media all over the world. Seeing as you actually live here, we think you need to get in on that action, and become a tourist in your own city. And if you do, you could win a prize worth R30,000.
The next time you cruise around The Mother City, keep a sharp eye out for the #ISEARCHMYCITY emblem. It’ll be up at various locations and venues in and around Cape Town during March 2014. This is what it looks like.
So, what’s all this about an awesome prize?
The competition winner will receive an amazing prize from our sponsors to the value of R30 000:
But WHAT EVEN IS the competition and HOW THE HECK do I enter?!
Brilliant question. Read carefully.
In order for a person to stand a chance of winning that blistering competition above, you need to take a selfie of yourself in front of that competition emblem and then interact with the various sponsors in the following way:
1. Upload the photo to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and #isearchmycity
2. Like the I SEARCH MY CITY Facebook page.
3. Like ALL sponsors Facebook pages. Those links are here, here, and here.
Every selfie taken at one of the venues counts as one entry. So go out, tour your city and take as many selfies as you can! The higher the number of selfies, the higher your chances of winning!
Keep checking out the I SEARCH MY CITY Facebook page for clues as to where the emblems are!
The Competition will launch at the Design Indaba in Cape Town on 1 and 2 March 2014. We STRONGLY suggest you look in and around the Cape Town Fashion Council stand to find the first emblem…
