This will take online shopping to whole new level – let’s hope it works in South Africa.
A sneaky little “Buy Now” button has appeared on several Tweets of late and they seem to be a sneak peek of what the future of twitter shopping holds. It makes perfect sense really and is certainly not a very big surprise move from the social networking giant.
A new “Buy now” button appeared on multiple tweets Monday, all of which included products that link back to a shopping site called Fancy.
The tweets were first discovered by tech-news site Recode, and the while the buttons appear in both the Timeline and expanded-tweet view, nothing happens when you actually click on the button.
The button only appears on mobile, and doesn’t appear on Twitter’s web version.
This is not the first time Fancy have leaked Twitter planning, according to Recode, so this could be nothing more than an accidental publish of a testing phase. It does look like something similar to this will very soon be on its way though so keep an eye out.
