If you’re looking to blow up to around $75 million (around R791, 400,000), the Ferrari GTO is probably the best way to spend that money.
A classic 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is being auctioned by Bonhams – and don’t think it’s outdated because of its age. This baby has a V12 engine producing 300 horsepower – a pure racing machine.
The car is up for sale for the first time in 49 years. This particular 250 GTO, chassis number 3851GT, was delivered straight from the factory to Jo Schlesser, who drove it in the 1962 Tour de France Automobile race. The car was sold to Fabrizio Violati in 1965.
