Last week, Malema challenged Zuma, asking when he was going to pay back the money for Nkandla. The EFF was then asked to leave the National Assembly, and riot police were called in to help calm the situation (EFF and ANC members having major words with one another and threats being thrown).
“ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe wants the EFF members arrested if they try to protest again.”
Mantashe has now compared how the EFF is similar to the Nazis, and members of the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster have warned that “democracy and the safety of citizens was under attack”.
“The issue of establishing a military wing and going underground cannot be ruled out because the ANC is adopting Apartheid tactics.”
EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said on Tuesday that they are ready to fight, to be shot at, to be tear-gassed, and that “no amount of intimidation will deter it from robustly raising issues and holding the executive accountable”.
The EFF has said that the ANC is going to send ‘hooligans’ into the Cape Town townships today to try and assault EFF MP’s.
Neither the ANC nor the EFF are ready to lose the blinking game, and it doesn’t look like things are going to cool down between the two parties any time soon. Both parties are quite ready to play a dangerous and very public game.
