Just a reminder, people: don’t vent your issues on social media.
A KZN woman has been ordered by the court to remove some statements on Facebook which painted a less-than-flattering picture of her ex-boyfriend and father of her child.
The father, a Durban businessman, secured a final interdict against the woman after comments she made about him on the social networking site, following an alleged night of “jolling” while their 5-year-old daughter was in his care.
Even though the woman never specifically named him, the reference to her “ex” identified him. The “defamatory post” was put up after their daughter spent the weekend with her father and had attended a party with him.
Following the party, her daughter had to share a bed with a pre-primary teacher following the “jol”, but it is said that the woman has no relationship with the father.
The Facebook post, which referenced the incident when the “ex’s drunk friend ends up sleeping with your daughter” had to be removed.
