Scammers and fraudsters must really hate CCTV footage.
Alan Knight, a man pretending to be a quadriplegic to claim benefits from the government, has been caught out as he was spotted shopping on CCTV footage, looking anything but handicapped.
The footage showed Knight pushing a trolley around various Tesco stores and it was confirmed he was there because his Club Card had been used.
Not only that, but Knight was also scamming his next door neighbour who has dementia. Knight was claiming to be looking after him, but he was actually draining his accounts into his own.
Knight admitted 19 counts of forgery, fraud and theft and now stands to face trial… after he pretended to be in a coma to avoid the original trial.
Real classy, Alan.
