We are aware that this is one of the year’s strangest headlines, but we kid you not.
A man dressed as Mr. Incredible, the hero of Pixar Studio’s megahit The Incredibles, has been convicted of battery after an attack on a woman dressed as Batgirl. The LA Times reports:
Muhammet Bilik, 35, was convicted of battery and sentenced to a day in jail, three years probation, 20 days of Caltrans work and 36 anger-management classes in connection with the Oct. 22 attack.
This is not the first incident of superheroes letting the team down on Hollywood Boulevard. My two favourites, again from the LA Times:
2007: LAPD officers arrested Chewbacca on suspicion of head-butting a tour guide. (Headline: “The Force Is All Over Chewbacca.”)
2011: SpongeBob SquarePants was questioned by officers after an altercation with two women.
Here’s hoping they can install some high-tech CCTV in the area and catch these incidents on camera. What are we talking about, this is America, everything is caught on camera.
