The internet is full of the weird and wacky, but in amongst all that is right there is also a murky underworld trying to capitalise on your every move. You know, the wonderful world of online fraud and identity theft.
Now we have seen a worrying increase in online fraudulent activity here at home, and now more than ever we need to be vigilant about how we conduct ourselves in the online space. It’s always a hack having to fill in all those details on each and every form and provide proof of residence, but short of sending in a vial of our own blood we’ll do just about anything to ensure we’re not getting taken for a ride.
Well, finally, help is at hand and the process of online identity verification doesn’t need to be so laborious. It’s a website called ThisIsMe and it is revolutionising the ease with which we can take ownership of our online profiles. In short it is a personal online verification authority, designed to both reduce the tedious form-filling and proof of residence / ID documentation which is currently so prevalent, and provide each user with the ease of mind that they, and only they, control their online presence.
Of course the benefit of a service like this isn’t only consumer-based, and when you consider that time is money the value of a service like this to businesses out there is immeasurable. Wouldn’t it be nice if our banks and e-commerce sites, for example, came on board and saved a bunch of paperwork in the process.

Save the hassle, save the paperwork, save the trees – you’ve done well.
