If eight, nine or (heaven forbid) ten hours at work isn’t stress enough, there’s still the commute home to negotiate. Hooters blaring, taxis weaving in and out of traffic – the list of pitfalls are endless, and now we’re spending longer than ever negotiating the treacherous path home.
Congestion levels in South Africa are on the rise, further exacerbated by load shedding. The average South African living in a major city now spends an extra 45 minutes in traffic every day as a result of rolling blackouts and failing robots. With load shedding just twice a week, that’s around 74 extra hours commuting in just one year – and a whole lot of frustration.
Two wheels means you can zip through traffic congestion and get to the front of the queue first. It means freedom from traffic, a quicker commute and a seamless start and end to your day. “Increasing fuel prices and congestion in cities are both becoming increasingly difficult to bear,” says Vespa Managing Director, Any Reid. “Now, more than ever, it makes sense to switch to two wheels.”
What would your life look like on a Vespa?
You had me at ‘future soul mate’, although that CEO of the world bit doesn’t sound half bad either.
Maybe it’s time you took the plunge and rethought the way you get around – you’ll find more than a few Vespa users telling you life is far more pleasant when you’re part of the two-wheel brigade.
