It seems increasingly likely that the Parisian attacks on November 13 may be the start of a sustained effort to target major cities, Islamic State stepping up their campaign of striking fear into the citizens of the world.
Their latest chilling video shows that they now have their sights set on New York, a number of familiar landmarks appearing in a video where IS claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris. Below from Complex:
In a video released by ISIS’s media outlet the Furat Media Center, old footage from a music video in April—with a suicide bomber gearing up to hit Times Square—was used. Before scenes of the Big Apple appear an ISIS member is seen repeating that the Paris attacks were “just the beginning.” The video also featured France’s President Francois Hollande’s address after the attacks where he declared war on ISIS. More images of Times Square appear after, such as billboards and yellow taxis…
I imagine the NYPD are on pretty high alert right now and there are plenty of bearded folk getting stared down.
