If you thought BMW drivers were knobs already then just you wait, this car taking it to the next level with a 007 style gadget.
The video was posted by Intelligence Bureau SA, where you can see traffic officers examining the blue BMW whilst someone toys with the gadget. The video was accompanied by a warning that urged South Africans not to buy these plates, with doing so a serious offence that “will result in your car being impounded and a free trip to jail for the evening”.
Apparently the number-plate hiding mechanism is used to avoid paying e-tolls. I thought it was to hide the GP on the licence plate, you don’t want to broadcast that when you come to the Cape over December and January.
