There are few things as disappointing as breaking your flip flop, or as they call if Down Under busting your plugger. I’ll readily admit to alcohol being the number one cause of my flip flop woes, but I don’t usually foil a robbery straight afterwards to help perk me up again.
Then again I’m not James Ross-Munroe, the drunk and shirtless Aussie who springs into action when duty calls. Some details below from Metro:
Ross-Munroe had decided to take the keys out of the alleged escape car after he realised something was going down.
But of course the suspect was not happy with this and got into a skirmish with him.
The man soon decided it wasn’t worth it and legged it, with Ross-Munroe giving chase.
‘I chased them but because I’m fat they got away haha,’ he wrote on his Facebook page afterwards.
Police confirmed they had detained a 23-year-old man.
Don’t be too hard on yourself there James, the festive period was one of much indulgence.
Hero status was confirmed when James and man with the camera Kane Wiblen appeared on The Today Show, basically confirming stereotypes of Aussie lads the world over.
Fair dinkum, someone get these lads a slab of Fosters and invite them over for a shrimp barbie.
