Sure, we see the art of kung fu on screens all the time, but soon the real life tradition of kung fu will die out and will be the stuff of legends, and movies, instead.
This is according to kung fu Master Li Liangui, who claims he is the last of his kind, and that when he dies “the art will be completely gone.”
Liangui chatted to Quartz about his practice of Suogugong, also known as ‘body shrinking kung fu’.
Although he was successful teaching the practice outside of China, now that Liangui is back in the country there is very little interest from anyone:
