Don’t worry, don’t worry, Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t on board when his plane slid across the airstrip. He was in Germany with Real Madrid, for a Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
The football star will, however, still have to fork out a bit of cash as the plane’s landing gear broke on impact when landing at Barcelona’s El Prat airport.
The strip was closed for a short while as emergency services raced to assess the situation.
Ronaldo bought the plane last year for R271 million, and sometimes leases it out for private clients – which was the case when the plane crashed.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
