That aside, there are of course legal ramifications that kick into gear if the August 8 National Assembly vote goes against Jacob Zuma.
National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete has not yet announced whether the vote will be secret, although the ANC are already running scared and threatening any party members who grow a spine and vote with their conscience.

So Baleka takes over in the interim, which isn’t exactly ideal, but I’m willing to take my chances.
Given how deep the State Capture runs, there can be no real assurance that the next in line won’t be a lackey. That being said, any sane South African will enjoy the small victory that comes with saying good riddance to JZ.
