When I saw this picture above doing the rounds I thought ‘eish, it can’t get much more in your face than that’.
Well, I was wrong.
The covers for the latest editions of three of America’s premier magazines are doing the rounds and crikey, they did not hold back.
The New Yorker, The Economist and TIME – check it:
You know that’s going to hurt Donald – after all, he had a fake TIME magazine cover hanging in one of his golf clubs.
He has also spoken about how gracing the cover of TIME as 2016’s ‘Person of the Year’ was a great honour, so I can’t wait for the next round of tweets bashing all three as sad FAKE NEWS.
In case you think the magazine covers are a little over the top, how about this from the New York Times:
“Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth,” David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan leader, wrote in a Twitter post shortly after Mr. Trump spoke.
Richard B. Spencer, a white nationalist leader who participated in the weekend’s demonstrations and vowed to flood Charlottesville with similar protests in the coming weeks, was equally encouraged. “Trump’s statement was fair and down to earth,” Mr. Spencer tweeted.
…members of the president’s staff, stunned and disheartened, said they never expected to hear such a voluble articulation of opinions that the president had long expressed in private.
Oh cool, he is only a Nazi sympathiser behind closed doors.
I can’t wait until the wheels come off and Republicans scramble to distance themselves from this toxic man.
Sorry, but you’ve pinned yourself to the Trump train whether you like it or not.
