We’ll never forget Justin Timberlake’s disastrous Super Bowl half-time performance, but this new bop is pretty decent.
The pop singer dropped his groovy new single “SoulMate” on Tuesday, July 4, and he’s posted the audio on his YouTube account.
According to Variety, it’s his first single since his fifth album, “Man of the Woods”, came out back in February.
With a pop-like vibe, a funky beat and catchy lyrics – minus the first line “Summer starts now”, which sounds pretty forced – it’s a lekker offering that sees JT going back to his roots.
It makes me long for those “SexyBack” days …
Anyhoo, here’s “SoulMate”:
Sounds like we’ll be hearing this tune all summer long, folks.
Still, it can never beat “Can’t Stop The Feeling”. Fight me on this.
