Look, Madam & Eve is always kind of political, because it’s a cartoon about a madam and a domestic worker.
This week, though, they weighed in with a few Rama-puns, starting with the ever-popular ‘Ramaphoria’.
Many South Africans thought that booting JZ and appointing Cyril would immediately turn around a sinking ship, but as the State Capture commission of enquiry continues, we realise just how deep that rot runs (even if the president is coming out swinging).
So, what other Rama-puns does the comic have in store for us? Here’s the cartoon they tweeted out last Friday, September 28:
The Ramaselfie is best pulled off on Sea Point Promenade, preferably in the crisp, early morning air #nofilter.
At times we all suffer from some Ramapathy, too.
Yesterday, Madam & Eve unleashed a few more Rama-puns via this tweet:
The transition from Ramaphoria to Ramaskeptic will be greatly aided by the impending petrol hike. Even if that’s largely out of the president’s hands, it’s just another kick in the groin for South African consumers.
