You know it’s pretty serious when Sky News report on a lottery rollover! Just last week we were raging (here) about the EuroMillions jackpot sitting at £82 million, which worked out to R1 billion. Well would you believe it, no-one won and the jackpot has rolled over for a SIXTH time! And now it’s sitting at £110 million, which is around R1.5 billion.

That’s right, one and a half billion Rand.

Europeans are expected to scramble for lottery tickets before next week, after the lack of a jackpot winner this week boosted the top EuroMillions prize to a whopping £110m.

No one matched the right numbers to claim the £89m on offer, so the jackpot rolls over. It was last claimed on March 20 and has rolled over six times.

If it is claimed by just one winner, the prize money would be the the biggest lottery prize in the world.

The UK record is currently held by Post Office official Angela Kelly, from Glasgow, who won £35.4m on EuroMillions in August 2007.

The largest jackpot globally was £81m, claimed in Italy’s Superenalotto in October last year.

Twenty-six ticket holders scooped £36,874.80 for having five numbers, while 218 won £3,141.30 for four matching numbers and two lucky stars.

The winning main numbers were 38, 47, 31, 19, and 5 and the lucky star numbers were 3 and 5.

In fact, just like a pledged to drive my scooter in a leopard print thong; I pledge to you now that if I win the lottery, I will go to that auction and bring back that car. And I’ll document the whole thing!

I was also very pleased with the little angel bloggers running around – being all geek and sexy at the same time! What a great mix! It’s like a geek themed porno – but this time it’s real! South Africans have until July 7 to vote for Table Mountain in the global race to name the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The country’s most famous mountain needs an injection of votes to secure its spot as one of the world’s top wonders.

The New7Wonders Foundation in Zurich, Switzerland announced in January 2009 that Table Mountain was one of 261 magnificent natural sites from 222 countries to have made it through to the second round in this global race to name the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Other iconic African natural sites to come through the first round include the Kalahari Desert, the Great Rift Valley, the Avenue of Baobabs, Lake Tanganyika, the Kafue National Park and Victoria Falls.

The New 7 Wonders of Nature will be determined by votes from the public and South Africans and fans from outside of our borders can show their support for the Mother City’s majestic mountain by visiting www.votefortablemountain.com and casting their vote.

Voting to select the top 77 sites runs until July 7 this year. Thereafter a panel of experts will select the 21 finalists – these will be announced on July 21 when the third and final phase of voting will begin. The official New 7 Wonders of Nature will be revealed in 2011.

It’s quite evident that I spent last weekend in Hermanus. I told you about the sea rescue and I told you about the cock guy with the flashing blue light on the way there. But what I did NOT tell you, was about the Butlers Pizza that I ordered and had delivered to Hermanus, over 100km away from the nearest Butlers branch.

“Erni” was my guy, with over 6,700 missions..

A lot of people don’t realise that these guys are ACTUAL butlers. They will do whatever you want, at a price. Apparently they will change a light bulb for anything between R20 and R50. They’ll even buy other stuff for you on the way to your house; again, at a price..

I thought I’d give the Cape Town to Hermanus delivery a bash.

Naturally I captured it on video for you.
