As you know, I was working with Pauly Shore for the last few weeks in Hollywood – bringing you the 2oceansvibe Pauly Shore Zinzi Series . The show documents 27 year old Zinzi’s visit to Hollywood, on an adoption trial run with Pauly. As you can imagine, it’s been a pretty crazy time. Some of it within my control and *ahem* some of it not..

Some of you would have got to Part 4 of the series by now, with part 5 coming out on Tuesday. But I wanted to give you a sneak preview of something that happens in part 6. For some reason (which you’ll find out if you’re hooked to the series and watching it like everyone else) Pauly leaves Zinzi in the hands of his comedian friend, Sandi – a Ron Jeremy lookalike who thought it would be fun for Zinzi to visit a porno company that his friend owns, somewhere in “The Valley.”

I enjoyed his vibe. He had a joint in his hand most of the way and was playing a “Mr Bungle” CD (the album was called California ). I bought it the next day – and I urge you to do the same. It’s probably the most perfect CD of all time for weed smokers.

Oh, track 9 will knock your socks off. It’s called VANITY FAIR. How rad is that? To have an awesome song with an awesome name as well! I guess I have felt something similar to that, having written most of the song “Ballerina Girl,” which was sung by Lionel Ritchie.

You’ll have to wait for that part of the series to come out, to find out what exactly went down and what else we did that day. But, for now, I can tell you that it was out of our control and Sandi dragged us to a porn company/studio. I basically had to use wire wool to clean my eyes when I got back to the hotel.

Oh, and I think I can show you one thing.

It’s me using one of the props they use from time to time in their movies. Although it is just a prop, and not real at all. But we don’t want to frighten the dorks out there and have covered it up.

I spent quite a bit of time in Los Angeles with Cokey Falkow (2oceansvibe Character The Comedian ) and he’s been showing me some of the stuff he has been working on.

In particular, this little beauty he did with Iron Fist depicting Cokey as Jesus Christ, entering into a breakdance competition against Satan, somewhere in Venice Beach, L.A.

Unbelievably, I had never tried an IN-N-OUT burger before. I didn’t really care, but the constant disbelief became a bit too much. I just couldn’t take it. The people. Constantly telling me how amazing the burgers were. And then, when telling them I had never had one, they would just stand there, with their mouths open – shocked. I thought I was being set up the first time. But when everyone was displaying the same reaction, I knew what do.

It was one of my last stops in Los Angeles. Thank God I did it..

Well, I tell you, it was fucking amazing! Everything so fresh and so damn tasty. And juicy – did I mention juicy? My word! It was like my taste buds were at a formula 1 race.

Now I kind of understand why everyone makes such a stink about it. I mean, these things are in a completely different league to the other fast-food burger places. Macky D’s and the boys – who use the same stuff for the fries as they do the rolls. And the burger itself. It’s all the same stuff. You are aware of that, right?

I swear! There is a big block of this stuff in the back. A MASSIVE block. Then they take special knives and shape-makers and they cut the various shapes they need and give it a spray paint. Like they’ll cut a burger shape out of it and spray paint it brown. Then the roll they spray gold colour and the cheese yellow etc. etc.

It’s true – even the boxes are made of the same stuff. Just cut and sprayed different.

I’ve been toying with this Pussy Natural Energy Drink for a while. You’ll remember the first mention of the energy drink was in one of the 2oceansvibe Weather Girls shows with the smoking hot Genevieve Morton (here and here). You see, the guys at Pussy (www.pussydrinks.com) were trying to get me to drink it for a while and I finally gave in, because I thought it would make for some spicy content on the show. They sent me some. It did.

Initially apprehensive about the product, I did some thinking, and you know what, it’s not even rude. The only reason we think it might be rude is because of the somewhat vulgar South African Afrikaans word, “p*es” which refers to a woman’s what-what. Whereas, everywhere else in the world, the word pussy is actually cute and playful. It is often used in general conversation (“don’t be a sour puss” and “pussy cat” come to mind) and even movies (James Bond – Pussy Galore), so any reservations with regard to the name are pretty pathetic. Rather, as I said in the interview with Genevieve, it should be used in a playful manner. Ordering a vodka Pussy at the bar, for example, is nothing but fun! there is even a vodka out there called “Exquisite” – now put those two together.

Try it out – seriously – I enjoy that vibe.

But that’s not the only reason I dig it now. After they gave me those freebies, I started drinking it and I’ll be honest, I dig the stuff. It’s 100% natural (even has milk thistle in it – good for one’s liver and all that) and tastes nothing like its competitors. It’s pleasant and not as arresting. Personally, the other stuff gives me headaches and super-sensitive teeth. Not with this stuff.

You might have spotted the MTV logo on the can above. That’s right – it’s endorsed by MTV. That’s cool, right? I’ll say! I’m staying at The Standard Hotel on sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. There are so many cool things about this palce, I wouldn’t know where to start. I can show you these images, I suppose. I guess, in a way, you could say that a picture is worth a hundred words?

Mental, mental, chicken oriental! That’s how crazy it is at the moment here in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

We’ve been spending the week with actor/comedian, Pauly Shore, as we follow him around with his adopted son, Zinzi. Zinzi won a radio competition to be adopted by Pauly Shore , following the release of Pauly’s latest mockumentary, entitled “ADOPTED.”

So just to bring everyone up to speed, I’m 9 hours behind you – so, in a way, I’m actually in the past. Everything I’m doing now, you’ve already been through. And I’m enjoying it – thank you – I like what you’ve done here.

I’m well and truly IN Hollywood now. Like…inside it!

After a couple weeks in Marina Del Rey with The Advertising Guy, The Italian and The Ripper (you caught the video of The Venice Beach Skateboard Guy, right?) and The Comedian and his angel, I finally hooked up with the rest of the crew (Lauren McGregor and Zinzi – Pauly Shore’s adopted son – for a week) and moved into The Standard Hotel (check that out – they’ve got a live girl in a glass casing behind the front desk) on Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood. That’s in Los Angeles, which is in California.

How amazing is it that all of those names sounds so incredible? I mean “Hollywood” is rad on it’s own, right? Then you find out it is also a part of “L.A.” which sounds so cool. And then, just to top it off, they’re both in CALIFORNIA, baby!!! R to the power of AD!

So I thought I’d give you some crazy pics from the previous part of my adventure (which took place in Marina Del Rey), as we enter into the next – a week causing havoc with Pauly Shore (recap: here and here).

I’ve just arrived in Los Angeles for that Pauly Shore vibe after two weeks back home in Cape Town staying at the Cape Royale . It was a wonderful, yet chilly two weeks, following that month in the South of France , so it’s good to get back into summer.

It’s pretty much tradition for me to have breakfast at The Terrace Cafe on my first morning when I get to L.A.. And this trip was no different. The Advertising Guy, The Italian, The Ripper and I cruised down to Venice Beach for a three-egg omelette.

And what a day it was – 30 degrees and fine!

The Terrace Cafe (“Come as a stranger, leave as a friend!”) is a couple doors down from Mercedes Grill , where Kelly Slater celebrated his birthday a couple years back. Cameron was there, etc. You know the vibe..

So the three egg omelette and coffee cups the size of houseboats were good, as always; but the real treat was the permanent weekend fixture outside the restaurant, in the form of The Venice Beach Skateboard Guy.

He’s definitely not younger than 55 and is probably in his early 60′s. I’m not sure if he is stoned, smashed, slightly touched, or just plain crazy, but this guy is GREAT to watch as he cruises around in square circles on his skateboard and Evisu sawn-off jeans. His skating is appaling and he wears a helmet with old-school stickers on the back (think Powell Peralta, Santa Cruz and Bones). He’s basically amazing.

He sometimes skates past at about nought miles an hour with his hand in the air, pointing, claiming-it, and whooping and shouting “yeah!” as though he was gleaming the cube. Then he stops, takes a sip of his coffee and kicks the tail of his board so that the board flips into the sky and lands upside down in a very unimpressive display of nothingness.

It’s so awesome. Can you imagine having a guy like that at your house, in the backyard? Just doing that the whole time? Or a keyring, he’d make a great keyring.

I’m sorry to do this to you, but daddy is going away for a little bit. I know you must be scared, but just realise that it is very necessary as it will bring me us one step closer to global domination. You know how busy daddy gets.

I will be gone for just over two weeks and will return somewhere around the second week of August. But don’t fret, you’ll be hearing from me the whole way through – with a whole new angle. A Los Angeles angle!

Let me fill you in: You’ll recall a few days ago I gave you the trailer (here) to that new Pauly Shore “mockumentary,” called ADOPTED, which was filmed predominantly in Cape Town. Remember the movie has to do with Pauly attempting to adopt an African child. Think Angelina and Madonna, but in a far more hysterical way (although those two are pretty hilarious in their own right).

I went to the premiere last night and suggest you go ASAP – it’s an absolute hoot. Ex Pats in the UK, US, Dubai and God knows where else will also get a major kick out of the visuals – everything from Camps Bay and Table Mountain, to game farms and orphanages.

So anyway, that movie is launching this week and Pauly Shore will be taking an ADULT African on a trial adoption in Los Angeles for a week. Because he can. The winner was announced on Radio 5 on Friday and it is none other than DJ Fresh lookalike, Zinzi Mangweni!

Take a good look at him, because that very same fully grown African man is going to be Pauly Shore’s child for a week. I know – can things get any more ridiculous?

Nic Marais will be coming up from New York to spend time with the vibe as well.

Thanks to the Cape Royale for looking after me these past few days and taking care of my sweet suite while I’m away. Although I was only back for a couple weeks since my South of France 2009 Strengthening Ties Tour, I’m glad we managed to get that Jack Black Beer tap installed at the 1800 bar downstairs. Mmm, sweet sweet nectar! Matt Damon will be pleased.

With their stock of De Grendel wine in the fridges, that bar is complete and can finally get Seth’s seal of approval. Congratulations!
