IRISH RUGBY TEAM HITS THE HIGH SEAS

If you had told me that the Irish Rugby Football team would be on board il Mostro , I would have told you that you were dreamin’. If you had to tell me that they even had a special green Irish spinnaker on board, I’d have you certified.

Pretty cool looking vibe, I must say:

il mostro, PUMA’s entry in the Volvo Ocean Race which is currently in Galway, Ireland, flies a green spinnaker during the Galway Pro Am Race
Probably serving Guiness on board..

Paul Wallace, former Irish Rugby player and Waterford Hurler John Mullane sail aboard PUMA in the Pro Am Race

And WHY did this take place you ask? Well, I’ll tell you:

il mostro, PUMA’s entry in the Volvo Ocean Race which is currently in Galway, Ireland, flies a green spinnaker during the Galway Pro-Am Race today, Sunday 31st May to celebrate PUMA’s recent partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Sailing onboard was Paul Wallace, Lions tour Sky Sports commentator and former Irish Rugby player. Also sailing onboard was Waterford Hurler John Mullane.

PUMA, the leading sportlifestyle brand recently became the official supplier and the official licensee of replica merchandise for Irish rugby. The new deal will see PUMA supply team kit, replica kit and training equipment for eight years starting from the beginning of the 2009/2010 season.

It’s all making sense now..
