Well I don’t know if she had an actual LAUNCH or anything – but the fact remains, it’s there! It’s a blog called Hurricane Vanessa, and the writer is none other than Vanessa Raphaely.
hurricanevanessa.wordpress.com
As editor of the South African Cosmopolitan (and Editorial Director of Associated Magazines, publishers of Marie Claire, O, The Oprah Magazine and House and Leisure) you won’t be surprised to learn that the content of the site treads that incredibly fine line between sex and shopping!
This little blog Vanessa has created is going to be a hit with the angels out there. I mean, who else would you want to report back on the stuff you really care about?
The site reveals “As she thinks she might be too old to be mostly thinking up new sex positions as a profession, she also blogs as HurricaneVanessa.”
It is quite apt that the issue of sex comes up while talking about Vanessa on these pages. Perhaps this was by accident, perhaps by design. But it is something that I want to address, and here it is:
It has been widely rumoured that Vanessa and I have made love before, and that we use each other physically, in return for favours – business and social. I wish to put this rumour to rest this instant. On behalf of both Vanessa and myself, I wish to publically declare that there is no truth in this scandalous tattle and we have not yet made love – nor are there plans for us to do so in the foreseeable future.
I just wanted to make that clear. Right here – right now.
After all, she is married, isn’t she?
If you were talking about Julia Raphaely…well…. now that would be another story altogether!
Now there’s a catch!
