I am not sure I agree with the reasons given, number three being “Inappropriate posts”. The study states that if your mother shouldn’t be hearing it, you shouldn’t be posting it. I don’t know about you but my world is all about inappropriateness. It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.
It also gives “Offline Behaviour” as fourth on the list of activities that will get you unfriended. Apparently one ought to curb annoying real-world behaviour to maintain online relationships. Of course, that’s only if you have real relationships outside of Facebook, a fact that should never be assumed.
“Frequent unimportant posts” comes in at number one on the list of motivations to unfriend someone. This I have to agree with. There are ample platforms already dedicated to that sort of behaviour. Twitter, I’m looking at you.
