World Map According To Social Networks: Mind The Gap

Artist Vincenzo Cosenza has redrawn the world map based on each nation's preferred social networking site - ranging from the reasonably well-known Facebook and Orkut to the bizarrely unfamiliar (here) Draugiem - unless you've got some friends in Lativa you've not told us about.

Shame, though – it took me a while to realize that MySpace doesn’t appear here, because the 90’s isn’t a sovereign nation.

Funnily, though, there’s a bit of a gap in the data here – and I can’t imagine why that might be.

Hint: I’m not talking about Antarctica.
