I told you last week that the English Rugby Football Union (RFU) had said no to hosting the Super 15 game between the Sharks and Crusaders at Twickenham. The Crusaders asked that the game be moved there due to damage suffered by their home ground during a 6,5 magnitude earthquake. But now it seems that the RFU may have had a change of heart.
The game, which would have taken place on the Friday, will now have to be played on the Sunday, as it clashes with the Harlequins’ match against Gloucester.
The RFU has given the Sunday fixture the go-ahead, so it’s only up to the Sharks to say yay or nay. They’ll have to keep in mind that the travelling might take quite a heavy toll on the players. Oh but how sweet it would be.
