  • Peta Holds Naked Shower Protest, Causes Car Accident

I know we did this last week, but this is unfortunately the reality of the hour that one officially applies the Cape Town Friday Rule. It’s called habit, and there’s no better way to form a habit other than through repetition. Essentially you should now start embracing everything non work-like, so let’s celebrate with a naked shower protest.

Yesterday some guy drove his grey sedan straight into the back of a white pick-up truck at a robot in front of him in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Why, because Peta’s models were baring all and showering in public to promote a vegan lifestyle.

Apparently the driver had been momentarily preoccupied by the “beautiful, naked models soaping themselves in a makeshift shower on the side of the road.”

Luckily CBS cameras were on hand and captured the entire incident for everyone. Damage appeared minimal, and the only thing dented seemed to be the driver’s pride.

    The denting of pride

Meanwhile, some Playboy models did something similar and took a bath in London’s Trafalgar Square, but in aid of World Water Week.

The group’s message was that by giving up about 450 grams of meat, Americans could save more than 9000 litres of water.

Locally World Wildlife Fund South Africa tweeted these interesting facts about water consumption closer to home:

Interesting water fact : 2 900 litres – The volume of water required to produce one cotton t-shirt.

5 000 litres – The volume of H20 required 2 produce a standard size meal of steak, potatoes & salad with a few glasses of wine

145 litres – The litres required to produce one serving of a fizzy soft drink

20 kg – The average weight of water that women and children carry (mostly on their heads) in Africa and Asia

The moral of the story here is that we can all do our bit and we must take care not to get distracted by boobs while driving.
