In another grand display of state the obvious, a brainy police spokesperson pointed out that a collection of loaded assault rifles found on the set of World War Z, were a “disaster waiting to happen”. A SWAT team recently raided the set, which was located in a warehouse in Budapest.
The haul included AK-47s and sniper rifles – which all contained live ammunition.
According to another source on set, the gun raid was one of many rather close calls. During a battle scene for the film, 47-year-old Brad actually saved an extra from being trampled by 700 extras, scooping her up off the ground.
Some of the other extras also suffered serious scrapes and bumps from various battle scenes, but by far the most unlucky, was an extra who was hit by a moving car. And, although he escaped unhurt, I’m pretty sure the producer might be expecting a lawsuit soon.
Or maybe he’ll keep his mouth shut, seeing as someone around there has a penchant for assault rifles.
