Saving Private Rhino – An Aquila Private Game Reserve Initiative have just received information about a “burning hair” smell and the sound of grinding coming from a garage at an apartment block in Tableview. Suspecting it could involve rhino horn, owner of Aquila Private Game Reserve and the head of Saving Private Rhino, Searl Derman, immediately contacted the Hawks and proceeded to the scene.
Hawks are currently on the scene and have found what is suspected to be horn. Confirmations to follow….
Aquila Game reserve also tweeted that two suspects had been arrested on site.

Acting on a tip from a Tabelview resident, Aquila Game Reserve employee, Searl Derman was able to lead the Hawks and South African Police out to a garage in Tableview area where two Chinese Nationals were arrested for the possession of ivory and various other horns. Neighbours of the arrested men became suspicious after the smell of burning hair and a grinding noise could be traced back to the garage of the suspects.
